The gorilla in the room is that Silverback recently sponsored a brick through the Central Indiana Police Foundation, and that brick now lives at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Mounted Patrol horse barn.
And honestly? We think that’s pretty cool.
Why a Brick?
Bricks are solid.
They don’t overcomplicate things.
They don’t need a strategic plan, a rebrand, or a quarterly check-in meeting.
They just show up and do their job.
Much like the officers supported by the Central Indiana Police Foundation, bricks provide structure, stability, and support—day after day.
Also, when you’re going to put your name on something, it helps if it can withstand Indiana winters… and the occasional curious police horse.
The Gorilla (and the Legacy)
Let’s be honest: sponsoring a brick isn’t flashy.
There’s no stage.
No microphone.
No oversized check moment.
But there is something meaningful about putting your name on something permanent.
Someday, someone will walk through the Mounted Patrol horse barn, glance down, and see our name etched into that brick. They might not know what we do. They might not know who approved it or how it got there.
But they’ll know this:
Silverback showed up, and supported something that matters.
Supporting Those Who Serve (On Two Legs and Four)
The Central Indiana Police Foundation plays a vital role in supporting law enforcement officers and their families by funding programs and resources that go beyond traditional budgets.
That support includes specialized units like Mounted Patrol—where dedicated officers and some truly impressive horses work together to serve and protect our community.
Our brick may be small in size, but it represents a big idea: backing the people—and the partners—who help keep Indianapolis safe.
If You’re Ever Near the Horse Barn…
Stop by and look down.
Take a picture.
Give the brick a nod.
If you’re lucky, you might even receive an ear flick from a Mounted Patrol horse. Subtle, serious, and possibly the highest compliment our brick could receive.
The brick won’t say much.
But it will still be there, doing exactly what it was meant to do.
Sometimes the best way to deal with the gorilla in the room is to acknowledge it, lean into it… and proudly put your name on a brick while you’re at it.
